From Beautiful Bribie Island near the Glasshouse Mountains

Paraguayan Harps are available with traditional  or  rectangular sound box.

The traditional harp (right) has a body made from 2mm aircraft ply with a quarter sawn red cedar soundboard.  It is a 3 1/2 octave instrument with a total weight of 5.3 Kg.  The cedar soundboard and the exceptionally light weight give a  beautiful, mellow tone with good volume.

The rectangular bodied harp (left) is designed by John Kovac, a well recognized player and maker of Paraguayan Harps in the USA.  It has sides of pine, and the back and soundboard are 4mm plywood.  This instrument is 4  octaves with a total weight of 6.5 Kg.  It has a clear, crisp tone with good volume, and is fitted with Tacitos, a left hand operated sharpening system.
